Partake in an advanced analysis team specializing in missile and spacecraft systems in Sunnyvale, CA. Join as a Structural Engineer with a focus on stress analysis for ground and test support equipment. As a Senior Stress Analyst, you'll conduct thorough stress analysis using established processes and collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment. This involves contributing to structural design decisions, generating technical documents, and aiding in structural load testing. Your role is vital for ensuring safety margins, efficient load paths, and optimal design while supporting reviews and tests.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience, with 5+ years' professional experience; or a related Master's degree with 3+ years' experience
Basic Qualifications
• Proficiency in NX/NASTRAN finite element modeling or a comparable software.
• Capability to employ advanced analytical techniques for conducting structural analysis.
• Familiarity with spacecraft or aircraft structural analysis methods, mechanical ground support equipment, and classical hand calculations as relevant experiences.
• Ability to obtain a TS
Desired skills
• Proficient in functioning within a collaborative and tightly integrated team setting.
• Completed academic coursework focusing on advanced mechanics of materials.
• Capable and motivated to take responsibility for tasks and ensure their swift and efficient completion.
• Experienced in conducting non-linear analysis for fracture, fatigue, and buckling scenarios.
• Skilled in analyzing mechanisms, antennas, electronic components, ground support equipment, hoisting systems, test support equipment, and composite materials.
• Proficiency with software tools including Abaqus, Matlab, Mathcad, and CREO.
• Familiar with conducting static, vibration, acoustic, modal, and shock tests on aerospace flight hardware.

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
