Overview

The Study Manager will oversee all aspects of an Economic and Patient/Societal Impact Study. This position will manage the project from survey development through data collection, analysis, and final reporting. The role requires a strategic, detail-oriented professional who can balance technical rigor with stakeholder engagement to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and refinement of the survey instrument in coordination with the client’s Development Center.

• Manage the outreach process to all identified companies, ensuring high response rates and consistent engagement.

• Oversee the IMPLAN economic modeling and data analysis to assess program contributions to U.S. economic output, value-added, employment, labor income, and tax revenues.

• Ensure accurate collection and reporting of patient and societal impact metrics, including technology type, cancer targets, regulatory progress, and patient outcomes.

• Direct project staff in economic mapping, data collection, and outreach activities.

• Maintain a project timeline, monitor progress against milestones, and produce interim and final deliverables.

• Prepare and present findings through Microsoft PowerPoint briefings and written reports tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.

• Serve as the primary liaison with the client’s Development Center, ensuring clear communication and alignment with objectives.

• Oversee quality control processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with study requirements.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public health, economics, policy analysis, business, or related field (PhD preferred).

• At least 10 years of project management experience involving survey-based research, economic modeling, or impact evaluation.

• 1+ year of experience with SBIR/STTR programs

Professional Skills:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting findings to executive and scientific audiences.

• Exceptional organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.

• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

• Familiarity with economic impact studies or IMPLAN modeling preferred

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$107,936.00 - $183,491.00
