The Role:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation and execution of marketing programs, initiatives, special projects and events for BFS’ retail dispensary brand. This position will report directly to the CEO and will work with our internal leadership team, outside agencies and vendor partners.
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage and be accountable for each step of execution of the retail dispensary brand’s marketing campaign and strategy
• Organize, create, and manage timeline and workflow for creative development process from requisition through delivery of materials/production
• Act as liaison/communications hub between all outside agency partners and freelance vendors and ensure that workflow/process is followed and deliverables completed on time
• Work with business leadership to create and manage marketing, PR, in-store graphics, and brand collateral estimates and budgets
• Manage execution of online strategies, including retail dispensary brand website and content development, online promotions and optimization
• Manage and communicate store-level and brand-level promotional calendar, including marketing plan, vendor promotions/partnerships, and special initiatives to senior management and general managers.
• Develop, iterate, and track metrics for loyalty rewards program
• Monitor and maintain social media platforms and brand voice online
• Ideate and co-create content for various social media channels
• Develop and maintain social media content calendar and coordinate social media recommendations and content escalations.
• Identify and work with key influencers and champions to leverage their voices and reward activity when strategically appropriate.
• Collect and analyze social media metrics to optimize and create/adapt broader-based marketing strategies.
Travel:
• Local travel may be required for this role.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field or equivalent experience.
• Three years+ of experience in marketing emerging brands, ideally lifestyle/retail/hospitality, with emphasis on execution of social media communications.
• Fluent in current and emerging social media platforms and measuring success of social media campaigns
• Strong writing and verbal skills and ability to project-manage and coordinate effectively across teams.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
• Bilingual a plus.
• Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
Physical and Mental Demands:
• Speak clearly so listeners can understand.
• Understand the speech of another person.
• See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
Working Environment:
Often share office space with other workers.
