Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mission Systems Hardware Engineer to join the MQ-25 Mission Management Systems Team located in Hazelwood, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

The successful candidate will have Responsibility, Accountability and Authority for the integration of the Mission Management System Computer (MMSC) into the MQ-25 architecture for both the Engineering Manufacturing & Development and the Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP) programs. The MQ-25 ( ) is an unmanned aircraft system designed for the U.S. Navy mission, it will provide the needed robust refueling capability, thereby extending the combat range of deployed Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet, Boeing EA-18G Growler, and Lockheed Martin F-35C fighters.

Position Responsibilities Include:

Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.

Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.

Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.

Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.

Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.

Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

Responsible for leading MMSC Integration on to the MQ-25

Develops and validates requirements

Develops test procedures and executes integration testing activities

Manages technical supplier performance

Supports project management by providing work statement, budget, schedule and other required inputs and by reporting project status

Supports growth, enhancements or new business studies related to the MMSC

Interfacing with multiple disciplines, internal and external customers, suppliers, and multiple levels of the organization

This position has a hybrid work schedule (3 days on site, 1-2 days virtual)

Export Control:

This position requires an active U.S. Interim Secret or higher Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 1 or more years' experience in an engineering classification.

Mission Systems and /or Vehicle Systems architecture and integration

Systems Engineering & Analysis Test and Evaluation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Mission Systems Processing Avionics Integration

Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering.

The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.

Typical Education:

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard
